Boy, what a difference fresh noodles make in the quality of a meal?!? If you’ve not tried to make noodles from scratch, don’t worry. They’re not as hard as you might imagine;) Lots of floor, too many egg yolks and a little bit of oil and water, and you,too, can make fresh pasta. No special equipment needed☺️

Grandpa Dale Noodles

The chill of winter always seems to bring out our desire for hot soup as we try to warm ourselves from the inside our. It’s around the cold months of the year, that fond childhood memories bring to mind a few family recipes or holiday traditions. For us, its ‘Grandpa Dale Noodles!’ Most often enjoyed the week after Thanksgiving, the thick, hand-made noodles and nourishing broth made for a regular winter favorite.

Pasta Maker

Inspired by these meaty noodle, the next week we got out the ole’ crank pasta maker and made ourselves some fresh spaghetti and fettuccine! We used a similar recipe courtesy of Anthony Bourdain’s cookbook – Appetites.
